This is the second painting from the morning session at Ledbetter Beach, just when I finished "Morning Light" the fog rolled in and I threw another canvas on the easel.

Morning Light
The Cliffs at Ledbetter Beach really do glow in the morning light as long as the fog hangs offshore, I painted two pieces that morning, this was the first.

Halo
NOAA Photo Library
In folklore, a halo seen around the sun or the moon means rain is coming. This piece was born out of a stroll near the beach with a dear friend and then a conversation with my mentor that lasted several weeks. Grateful for the learning experience I had while painting it.

Palm Breeze
It was one of those perfect days at Refugio Beach, Sun, Clouds, and just enough of a breeze to keep me cool while painting this one.

Leddbetter Fog
The point at Ledbetter can be foggy when there is full sun just 100 yards away and it drifts in and out like the tide sometimes. I loved doing this little because my easel was in the surf and it just feels right to have my feet in the water.
